Drama from the heart
Formed in 2000, Act Now Theatre School is a fun, exciting drama school based in Southampton. Our students are encouraged to express themselves through authentic and honest acting. Through our workshops we aim to produce bright and confident performers who act from the heart. Natural acting is what we cherish. Our workshops build confidence, resilience and boost self-esteem.
Home Grown Plays
We are proud to be one of the few drama schools with an in-house playwright who writes bespoke plays, tailored to our individual students. This way we can ensure that all students have an important part and are ALL integral to the play. Our plays cover historical events, culture issues as well as socio-economic topics. We explore topics that are relevant to young people such as bullying, friendships and growing up. Examples of past performances can be found here.

Easter Workshop
Ages 7-16
Our workshops are suitable for 7-16 year olds. The Acting classes focus on movement, expression, improvisation and voice projection. Our students perform in one fully staged play a year. Our plays are penned by our resident playwright Tom Flood. Every child has an important role in each play.
